Shipping policy

By placing an order with Green Hills Supply (online, by phone, in person, or via invoice/payment link), you (“Customer”) acknowledge you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms & Conditions. These terms apply to all deliveries of bulk landscaping and winter materials, including but not limited to mulch, stone, soil, compost, and salt.

Orders Placed by Phone

  • Authorization: By providing payment information by phone, Customer authorizes Green Hills Supply to charge the approved amount (including product, delivery, taxes, and any applicable fees) and represents they are an authorized user of the payment method.
  • Order confirmation: Green Hills Supply will confirm key details (product, quantity, delivery address, placement notes, and pricing). Customer is responsible for verifying accuracy at the time of the call and promptly reporting any corrections.
  • Call recording: Calls may be recorded for accuracy, training, and dispute resolution. Wisconsin law permits recording with consent of at least one party to the call.

Pricing, Taxes, and Payment

  • Payment in full: All orders must be paid in full at the time of purchase unless otherwise agreed to in writing by Green Hills Supply.
  • Taxes & delivery charges: Sales tax and any required fees will be applied where applicable. When taxable products/services are sold, Wisconsin generally treats the total charge, including delivery, as taxable (unless a specific exception applies).
  • Card disputes/chargebacks: If a payment is disputed after delivery, Customer remains responsible for amounts properly owed. Green Hills Supply may provide delivery documentation (photos, GPS/time stamp, signed/recorded authorization, etc.) to support the transaction.

Product Selection & Natural Variation

Customer is solely responsible for selecting the correct product(s) for the intended use. Bulk and natural products may vary in color, texture, moisture, and performance by load and conditions.
No refunds or exchanges will be issued due to incorrect product selection or aesthetic preference.

Delivery Policy

Single Material Loads: Only one type of bulk material may be loaded and delivered per truck. No mixed loads.

Scheduling / Requested Dates: Requested delivery dates are not guaranteed and are subject to routing, weather, equipment, and staffing. If delays occur, we will attempt to notify Customer.

Time-Specific Requests: We route for efficiency and do not guarantee exact times. If you need delivery “by” a certain time, request it at ordering; we’ll make reasonable efforts but cannot guarantee.

Access & Site Conditions (Customer Responsibilities):

  • Provide clear, safe access for a heavy truck (adequate width/height, stable surface, cleared snow/ice, no blocked driveways/gates).
  • Disclose obstacles in advance (new or thin pavement, low wires/trees, tight turns, weight limits, septic/holding tanks, decorative curbing, etc.).
  • Mark the preferred drop location as clearly as possible (cones, paint, tarp, texted photo, written instructions).


Restricted Delivery Areas / Placement Limits:

  • For safety and liability reasons, drivers may be unable to drive on or dump on lawns, unpaved areas, or other soft/non-stable surfaces.
  • Final placement is at driver discretion based on safety, legal access, and site conditions.

Customer Presence Not Required: Customer does not need to be onsite. If not onsite, we will deliver according to instructions to the best of our ability.

Right to Refuse / Abort Delivery:
Green Hills Supply may refuse, delay, or cancel delivery if it cannot be completed safely, legally, or reasonably. If a load is already dispatched/loaded, delivery fees are non-refundable.

Missed Delivery / Redelivery / Wait Time:
If we cannot complete delivery due to access issues, unsafe conditions, incorrect address, or lack of an available drop zone, Customer may be charged a redelivery fee and/or standby time.

Delivery Acceptance, Risk of Loss, and Property Damage

  • Acceptance: Delivery is considered complete once product is dumped/placed at the accessible location per instructions.
  • Proof of delivery: Green Hills Supply may take delivery photos for documentation.
  • Property damage: Customer assumes responsibility for surfaces and site conditions where delivery is directed. Green Hills Supply is not responsible for damage resulting from following Customer’s placement instructions or from hidden/unknown conditions (to the fullest extent allowed by law).

Buy Online, Pick Up In Store (BOPIS)

Orders placed for pickup must be picked up within 10 days. If not picked up and Customer does not respond regarding arrangements, Green Hills Supply may cancel the order and return merchandise to inventory, issuing any applicable refund to the original payment method (subject to non-refundable items/fees).
